Change the Game? We’ll Just Make Our Own Rules

Debunking gaming gender-based stereotypes and created a new badass narrative

A year after its creation, the VALORANT Champions Tour: Game Changers circuit was ready to host its first in-person World Championship. This first of it's kind tournament was an opportunity to elevate and set the standard for a tournament circuit focused on creating inclusive opportunities in esports for women and marginalised genders

International LAN tournaments aren’t a new concept, but demonstrating that all members of the esports community have value and possess talent is a key motive that this tournament set out to demonstrate.

We established a multi-faceted comms strategy that identified what makes this championship unique, highlighted the key outlets to approach, and ensured the right spokespeople were on hand to enable the stories of the participating players and teams to be told so they could shine.
