the fastest growing sport in the world – and communications are helping to shape the future of it. We’re headquartered in LA, operate out of LA, Amsterdam, and Berlin – and our clients span

the globe, so we’re flexible on working locations.

We are a hungry and ambitious new company, where each team member wears a lot of hats and when it comes to your career development – the sky is not the limit. If you are looking to grow your career, get hands-on experience in esports and mentorship from the leading communications experts in the field and love location flexibility, this could be a good fit. Bonus points if you are a passionate sports or esports fan, not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get sh*t done, and know how to work hard and play harder.

About You:

You communicate. We want someone who asks the right questions, isn’t afraid to speak up, sends updates before they are required and can point out potential issues before they arise.

You want to grow. If you are looking to dive deep, work hard and accelerate your career, we are here to give you those opportunities and support your professional development.

You have a passion for or are willing to become interested in esports. Whether you’re an esports fan with mad organizational skills or an existing PR pro looking to learn more about the world of esports, we’d be excited to talk to you. In turn, you  must be excited to get your hands dirty, go to the events, and immerse yourself in what we believe is the future of entertainment.

You are independent. We work from three different countries and across even more timezones. You want to be a digital nomad or spend winters in South East Asia? We love that. As long as you meet your deadlines and do excellent work, we want you to be fulfilled in work and in life.

About the Role:

Media liaison and outreach

  • Working across a cross-section of existing clients (teams, brands and organizers) to craft and share compelling stories through third party media
  • Creating and maintaining a rolodex of media working in the esports space and those looking to cover it in more depth
  • Working directly with clients on upcoming announcements, evergreen stories and trend pieces that help them reach their storytelling goals
  • Becoming a resident expert on the kind of stories, angles and assets that will help media in the space tell well-researched and authentic stories about our esports universe
  • Prepping and coaching spokespeople before media opportunities (and giving the honest feedback afterwards!)

Creative brainstorming and storytelling

  • Working with co-founders and clients to offer timely, effective counsel on storytelling through owned and earned channels
  • Helping to create long-term strategies for how teams and brands can work towards bigger communication goals – and how each piece fits into that plan

Strategic Communication Planning

  • Working with clients to develop and implement communications strategies in line with clients’ business and communications objectives
  • Advising clients on best practices and to-be-implemented tactics to execute the strategy
  • Monitor trends, tools, opportunities and applications in paid media environments, and appropriately apply that knowledge

Other tasks

  • Handling regular biz dev opportunities that come your way, including putting together SoWs and client proposals and seeing them through till the end
  • Light admin work that comes from your own clients, i.e. working with our accounting team on invoicing, and our legal team on contracts
  • Teaching by example. Training and mentoring junior team members towards their own career goals

About You:

You’re a connector. We’re looking for natural storytellers who have a history of working with media. You’ll catch our attention if you have experience working within esports – but being a passionate gamer is also a big plus.

This isn’t your first rodeo. This is a senior role which requires around 3-4 years of PR or media experience, and you have the journalist connections to prove it.

You want to go beyond the traditional media relations churn. Esports isn’t the place for ‘throw as much spaghetti at the wall as you can’ pitching. We’re looking for pros who will build a relationship with media and understand when they’re the best channel to achieve the goal – not just seek out column inches at any cost.

We’re always on the lookout for talented and ambitious professionals who are ready to get their hands dirty by working in the incredibly exciting and challenging world of esports. Whether you’re a seasoned comms expert or a fresh graduate looking to launch your esports career, we want to hear from you!
