Communications Coordinator - LA

Gaming and Entertainment have changed. Being part of a digital-first, gamer generation isn’t just a hobby you choose – it’s the sports you support, the clothes you wear, the entertainment you watch, and the culture you live and breathe.

At The Story Mob we know that Hollywood’s biggest competitor isn’t the next blockbuster movie, but a AAA game franchise release. As a communications consultancy for gaming culture, grounded in esports and competitive gaming, we understand the power of an esports hero onstage in front of millions or a superstar streamer who becomes a style icon. We craft messages that speak to a generation who don’t just play games – they live them. We help you reach them.

We’re headquartered in LA, with teams in LA and London, UK - and our clients span the globe. For this position, we are looking specifically for someone based in Los Angeles to help us manage our existing projects and clients across gaming and digital culture - and in time develop your network and bring in new projects of your own.

We’re a hungry and ambitious company, where each team member wears a lot of hats and the ceiling for growth is sky-high. Our culture is open-minded, fast and flexible. Great ideas are celebrated, and you’re free (and encouraged!) to execute them independently and collaboratively while learning new skills.

If you’re based in LA (or hoping to move when travel is a thing again), looking to grow your career, work across multiple brands in the market, and get hands-on experience in esports and mentorship from the leading esports communications experts in the field, this role could be a good fit.

We are specifically looking for candidates with demographic identities or life experiences that add different perspectives to our work. So we encourage any individuals who identify as Black, indigenous, persons of color (BIPOC), women, low SES, or disabled to apply. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard for race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status, genetic information, marital status, or any other basis prohibited by law.
